Guys, the moment I saw the beauty of the new collection of Urban Decay in collaboration with amazingly well-known tv show Game of Thrones, I was speechless! The colors, the textures, the well thought out packaging, and every single little detail have left me with my mouth open.
I was doing a mini tutorial on Instagram using some of the products gravitating towards a Daenerys Targaryen kind of look, because I love dragons (of course) and warm colors go very well with my Latina skin, but many of you were asking for me to do the swatches of other products and that is why here you have the blog with photos, details and my opinion of each product. Let’s talk about the GoT Collection from Urban Decay!
Let me start off by saying that whether you are from the Targaryen House, Lannister or Stark, the shadow palette is to die for; it comes with 20 colors and 3 different textures (metallic, shiny and matte) and names that will make you live each episode once again. And if you’re not a fan of the series but you love makeup, you will probably like the collection.
Now, we have 4 lipsticks: 2 metallics, one creamy and one soft matte finish. They are all beautiful, and what I liked the most is that although the metallic ones are not my favorite type of lipstick, the colors are so beautiful that I can use them in any event with a very soft makeup on my eyes, and they will look spectacular. My favorite was the soft matte finish, it is a beautiful wine tone that makes your teeth look whiter and it’s not a matte that dries out the lips. They all are pigmented, and the color pays off from the first application. The only one that is slightly different is the cream finish, which is the lighter in color and is the only one that was made to be a soft color and low-intensity pigmentation.
Something that struck me in the collection was the eyeliners. They come in 4 metallic colors with glitter all throughout them, and being very honest with you, only one of them wan not 100% pigmented (Winterfell snow), and not because it is not beautiful, but because the pigmentation is not as strong as that of the other 3, however, it is perfect to add a holographic glitter to your look. And my favorite was the dark turquoise (the night king), it’s crazy, you only need a single pass and Boom! Vibrant color from the first moment.
The collection has a palette of highlighters, which I think we can also use as blush toppers! They have a very nice touch of luminosity, are super pigmented and on the skin, they look beautiful and glowy.
This product caught my attention and I will continue testing it, it is a tint for lips and cheeks with a reddish/dark pinkish tone, it is very soft and you can use it on days when you don’t want to put on a full face of makeup to give a touch of natural color to your skin. I recommend you use it with a makeup sponge for the cheeks, and for the lips, you rub it on with your fingers.
Finally, we have two eyeshadow brushes, and they’re beautiful, they have the special touch of being elements that you can identify two characters using them and that is so cool!
My overall rating is a 7 out of 10. If you collect limited edition makeup and love the tv show it is for you.
